HOTEL DESCRIPTION - PENANG MARRIOTT HOTEL
Perfectly positioned along Gurney Drive, a popular seafront promenade in George Town, Penang Marriott Hotel will be part of a 55-storey tower, featuring 220 rooms to enable guests to seamlessly transition between work and relaxation. A range of dining options, including a speciality restaurant, an all-day dining buffet restaurant, bar and lounge areas, will provide guests with a wide offering of local and international favorites. Guests will also be able to maintain their fitness routines while on the road, with a fully-equipped fitness center, along with an outdoor swimming pool, complete with a sun deck. This new hotel will also cater to business travelers\xe2\x80\x99 every need, with a state-of-the-art business center and multi-purpose event spaces - including a 500sqm ballroom as well as 4 meeting rooms, perfect for hosting business meetings, functions and other special events. The hotel is projected to open in Q4, 2023.

The Marriott Executive Apartments Penang will be situated alongside the Penang Marriott Hotel and MH Residences in a 55-storey tower, offering 100 rooms consisting of 1 Bedroom Apartments and 2 Bedroom Apartments. Guests will enjoy access to the Marriott Hotel\'s Executive Lounge, pool, and fitness center. Services like concierge, laundry, and room service will be shared between the hotels. Located on the waterfront of Gurney Drive, the site benefits from a well-established neighborhood with excellent facilities and amenities. It is conveniently a short 10-minute walk from the Gurney Paragon retail/entertainment complex and the renowned Gurney Drive Hawker Centre. The hotel is scheduled to open in Q1 of 2024.
JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Human Resources will report directly to the property General Manager, with a dotted-line (functional) reporting relationship to the Regional Senior Director of Human Resources and will be an integral member of the property executive committee. As a member of the Human Resources organization, he/she contributes a high level of human resource generalist knowledge and expertise for a designated property. He/she will be accountable for talent acquisition, succession/workforce planning, performance management and development for property employees, using technology efficiently, and coaching/developing others to help influence and execute business objectives in the most efficient manner. He/she generally works with considerable independence, developing processes to accomplish objectives in alignment with broader business objectives. Additionally, he/she utilizes a Human Resource Business Plan aligned with property and brand strategies to deliver HR services that enable business success.
