About us The Compliance & Approvals team is responsible to ensure that all Dyson products are in compliance with all relevant Safety and Materials regulations, standards and legislations. These include testing and certification based commonly adopted international regulation and standards (IEC/UL Standards, etc) as well as country/region specific legislations (CE/EU directives, DENAN, REACH, RoHS, Prop65, etc). We monitor and guide design engineers to ensure that all Dyson products are safe and we liaise with the relevant authority in every country we market our products, providing them with all certificates and other requisites to allow sales in that particular country. About the role To perform testing under Compliance & Approvals Test Engineer supervision. Ensure all the test activities are carried out strictly according to the appropriate international test standards (UL / CSA / IEC / EN / JIS / EU / GB / EMC directives). Set up the test equipment and sample together with Operator according to the test plan and method provided by Safety Compliance Engineer. Manage SAT lab consumables inventory. Support Compliance & Approvals Test Engineer to oversee the maintenance of test lab, test rigs and lab equipment including calibration schedule and records according to ISO17025. Help Compliance & Approvals Test Engineer manage the Safety Approvals Lab to ensure to safety compliance and maintain a good housekeeping at all time. Ensure all lab activities fulfil ISO17025 requirements. About you Possess at least a Diploma or above in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical) or equivalent. More than 1 year of working experience with Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical background, involving testing or R&D environment. Experience in dealing with approval agencies and 3rd party test laboratories and have knowledge on CB scheme, SMT or ETL (SAT) scheme. Fluent in spoken and written English. Excellent ability to understand and formally discuss contents of high volumes of international safety standards. Detailed knowledge of the technical vocabulary common to the appropriate discipline. Highly motivated, internally driven individual with good communication skills, good planning and organizing capabilities and able to work within a team. Self-driven with strong attention to details and must possess character of high integrity. Good knowledge in product safety certification.
