1. Compliance Monitoring & Risk Management



Monitor the company's compliance risks and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements set by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM). Conduct daily transaction monitoring, screening, and detection of suspicious activities to safeguard the company against money laundering and terrorism financing risks. Evaluate business activities (e.g., remittance transactions) to assess and mitigate compliance risks. Monitor adherence to internal compliance programs and policies.

2. Regulatory Reporting & Documentation



Assist in preparing and submitting required documents and reports to BNM and other regulators. Manage AML-related reporting to ensure management is kept informed of issues, trends, and overall AML status.

3. AML/CFT Compliance & Intelligence Gathering



Establish and maintain an effective AML/CFT compliance structure within the company. Conduct reviews of client screenings, name searches, and perform quality assurance checks. Gather intelligence from media reports and relevant websites to identify potential ML/TF risks and emerging trends. Identify and escalate fraud, errors, or irregular customer requests in accordance with procedures.

4. Training & Staff Awareness



Assist in delivering AML, CFT, and compliance-related training to employees. Educate staff on regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices. Address employee questions or concerns related to compliance matters.

5. Internal Collaboration & Crisis Response



Collaborate with internal departments, including HR and external auditors, on compliance-related matters. Support in developing plans to manage crises or compliance violations.

6. Process & Performance Management



Ensure all compliance processes are executed in accordance with established standards and procedures. Meet productivity, accuracy, and quality benchmarks for compliance tasks. Maintain accurate and timely records, including timesheets and required process documentation. Work independently to complete assigned tasks within the required timeframe.

Job Requirements:



Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent qualification in Finance, Banking, Business, Law, or a related field. Must possess all four (4) AML/CFT certification modules (GOCO Module 1-4). Strong knowledge of AML/CFT regulations, BNM requirements, and financial services compliance. Minimum 1 year of working experience in compliance, banking, or financial services (Senior Executive level preferred). Experience dealing with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and completion of MSB-required AML/CFT training is an advantage. Able to identify suspicious transactions, assess ML/TF risks, and provide appropriate recommendations. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage deadlines effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure. Detail-oriented, resourceful, and proactive in handling day-to-day compliance tasks. Ability to draft, review, and amend corporate or legal documents is an added advantage. Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
Salary is negotiable based on the working experiences.

Work Location: Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur.
