Job Description

? Responsible for the design and fine-tuning of rubber formulation and compounds, and define specifications for specialized rubber parts, as well as the associated manufacturing processes.

? Supervise the manufacturing processes and productivity performance on related departments.

? Coordinate with, and consult other colleagues to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design problems, as well as to troubleshoot on ongoing manufacturing issues.

? Document manufacturing requirements and processes; including technical drawings and CAD models.

? Responsible for design and fabrication of relevant mold and tools. Conduct test runs with completed tools and mold.

? Develop manufacturing processes and liaise with Purchasing department to ensure feasibility in supply chain in order to make adjustment where necessary.

? Determine development and production costs, and optimize designs to achieve the most cost-efficient means of production and to minimize production issues.

? Assist to manage and lead ad hoc engineering projects, including customized tests and experiments.

? Assist to oversee and lead research for findings on fields related to KMK's existing and potential product base, and proactively contribute to reference materials maintained by engineering team(s).

? Provide support to manager for research and development projects, including laboratory-scale compounding of rubber formula with varying chemical levels to produce studies on correlations and behavior.

? Maintain proper documentation and organization of formulation data files on the shared drive, and help initiate documentations on process flow.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within the rubber industry. Proficient in formulating and optimizing rubber compound recipes. Strong understanding of rubber chemistry, material properties, and compounding processes. Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Proficient in using laboratory equipment and analytical tools. Excellent communication and documentation skills.
