Assistant Financial Controller / Finance Manager

Job Description

-Supervise and ensure smooth functioning of the responsible areas, namely General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, Cashiering, Income Audit, Cost Control, Stores and Receiving.
-Ensure the preparation and compilation of timely and accurate monthly management accounts and reports.
-Implement a sound system of internal control and prepare financial policies and procedures.
-Maintain fixed assets register, ensure proper and easy identification of fixed assets, stocks and operating equipment.
-Monitor operational and administrative costs closely.
-Enforce credit policies, monitor debtors aging and implement effective collection techniques.
-Prepare and submit tax returns and surveys on a timely basis to the respective government departments.
-Coordinate closing of annual accounts, year-end external audit and statutory reporting.
-Ensure confidentiality of information at all times, functions assigned are carried out in accordance to Hotel policies, procedures, applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.
-Train, supervise and appraise all staffs under your responsibility.
-The job function listed is not exhaustive and shall also include any ad-hoc projects and responsibilities as assigned by the superior from time to time.
 
REQUIREMENTS
-Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, ACCA or equivalent professional qualifications.
-Minimum three (3) years working experience in FINANCE MIDDLE management position.
-Proficient in computerized accounting system and office application like ACCPAC and MS Excel.
-Knowledge in Opera PMS and Infrasys POS will be an added advantage.
-Leadership skills with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
-Must have strong interpersonal skills to build connection and have regards for people around the job.
-Motivated, energetic and positive personality.
-Technology and system savvy.
-Strong proficiency in English, spoken and written.
-Able to meet deadlines and work independently with minimum supervision.
-Willing to travel for job-related assignments as and when required.
