An industrial EPCC company is currently looking for a Construction Manager - Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation. In this job, you will oversee the dismantling and installation of a gas processing plant, focusing on the Mechanical, Electrical and Installation aspect. They are a market leader in their product category and have plans to solidify their position in Malaysia. About the Construction Manager - Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation Role:
In this Construction Manager - Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation role, you will oversee the dismantling and installation of a gas processing plant, focusing on the Mechanical, Electrical and Installation aspect. They are a market leader in their product category and have plans to solidify their position in Malaysia. Key Responsibilities:

• Assume responsibility for effectively and safely planning and executing the dismantling of structures, machinery, or other objects
• Evaluates appropriate methods and techniques for dismantling, which may involve mechanical cutting, controlled explosions, hydraulic shearing, manual dismantling, or a combination of approaches
• Oversee the dismantling process, coordinating with the project team and contractors
• Monitor progress, address technical challenges, and ensure that work adheres to the established plan, safety protocols, and quality standards
• Supervise the installation and construction of MEI systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications, safety regulations, and building codes
• Conduct site visits to assess progress, resolve technical issues, and provide guidance to contractors and construction teams
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems within the overall project design
• Facilitate effective communication and coordination to meet project timelines and objectives
• Perform inspections and quality checks to verify proper installation, operation, and performance of mechanical systems
• Identify and resolve any deviations or deficiencies from design requirements to optimise functionality and efficiency
• Review technical reports, documentation, and as-built drawings from contractors to document specifications, installation details, and construction modifications
• Analyse and address design conflicts, coordination issues, and equipment malfunctions to ensure smooth operation of mechanical systems
• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and functionality

To perform well as the Construction Manager - Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, you will need to have strong Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation knowledge, and hands-on site management experience. Key Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or relevant field of study
• At least eight years of project management or site management experience within the industrial gas, oil and gas or chemicals manufacturing industry
• Solid knowledge of Electrical/Instrumentation/DCS system and instrumentation
• Open for relocation to project or construction site for an extended period
• Objective approach in risk identification, management and problem solving
• Proactive and independent in making decisions
• Good coordination and timely reporting skills
• Great communicator with highly analytical and attention to details
