About the job Construction Supervisor Responsibilities
Supervise and execute daily offshore construction activities, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with approved drawings, procedures, and specifications
Lead toolbox talks, conduct worksite walkdowns, and perform on-site coordination of construction crews and contractors
Ensure full compliance with PETRONAS Technical Requirements, project specifications, and HSE standards
Coordinate construction activities with Client, PMC, QA/QC, HSE, and Operations teams
Identify construction issues, resolve site conflicts, and make timely technical decisions to minimise work delays
Support Permit-to-Work (PTW), SIMOPS coordination, and risk assessments
Act as the senior construction authority on site when required, including deputising for the Construction Superintendent.
Requirements
Recognised High School Certificate / SPM or equivalent
Minimum 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas construction projects with at least 7 years of practical experience as a Construction Superintendent (offshore experience preferred)
Strong hands-on construction supervision experience, particularly in offshore environments
Extensive experience and working knowledge of PETRONAS Technical Requirements and relevant construction specifications
Proven ability to manage contractors, interfaces, and construction risks
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Offshore certification (BOSIET, offshore medical, etc.) is an added advantage
