Requirements
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in construction project management, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems.
Proven experience in managing large-scale commercial, residential, or infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, BIM tools).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities to manage cross-functional teams.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Chartered Engineer) are an advantage.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage all technical aspects of construction projects from planning to completion.
Review and approve technical drawings, specifications, and construction methodologies.
Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Provide technical guidance and support to project managers, engineers, and site teams.
Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to resolve technical issues.
Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to design specifications.
Implement best practices in construction technology, materials, and sustainability.
Prepare monthly Job Method Statements (JMS) and Work Inspection Reports (WIR) to support interim progress claims (IPC) until project completion.
Plan and monitor project execution according to the Work Programme (WP) and Gantt chart timeline to ensure timely delivery.
Manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and deadlines are met.
Prepare technical reports, risk assessments, and recommendations for management.
Drive continuous improvement in construction processes and technical standards.
