Study International is looking for a Content Lead to oversee a crucial piece of our editorial and business strategy and to manage a team of writers and freelancers. Our fast-paced and dynamic team is based in Kuala Lumpur, working with teams in Bristol, Philadelphia and Sydney. WHAT YOU\'LL DO Have a vision of today\'s international students and how Study International can be their top reference point to find the best university, course and country for them. Grow Study International\'s audience, impact and relevance. Think and execute new ways to tell stories and be willing to learn about emerging storytelling techniques. Edit and manage a small group of writers and freelancers. Writing, editing, assigning, and packaging the site\'s daily coverage, including its mix of articles, reports, guides, and features. Oversee all of the site\'s independent content, including daily articles, reports, interviews, guides and/or features, producing multiple stories per day. Work with the Senior Editor to strategise, create and assign an editorial calendar incorporating articles, interviews, guides and features, including planning longer lead features, trend stories, and packages. Ensure all copy onsite is copy-edited and in line with our style guide and editorial standards. Ensure all posts are SEO-optimised and follow best practices in social media. Network and develop sources with students, graduates, teachers, faculty members, and PR firms. Collaborate and provide support in cross-department efforts with other teams in the UK, US and Australia, as and when needed Occasionally appear on panels, radio, and other public appearances as appropriate for the brand. WHO YOU ARE 3-5 years experience in journalism, including editing and writing news, features and other story forms. Exemplary editorial judgment and the confidence to carry it out. Passionate about digital writing, editing and using analytics to make editorial decisions. Comfortable with the fast pace of digital news, daily deadlines, and the use of analytics in editorial strategy. Highly professional in dealing with management, staff and sources.
