An exciting Content Manager (Tourism Industry) job has just become available at one of the most respected global tourism firms based in Malaysia. Reporting directly to the Managing Partner, this is a role for a marketer who is a leader in their field.

About the Content Manager (Tourism Industry) Role:
In this business critical role, you will be responsible for producing and publishing content, writing, editing and proofreading, formulating content strategies and managing a content team, among other tasks.

Content managers are comfortable finding creative ways of building both online/on-premise presence, as well as using analytics in the formulation of a content strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Writing, editing and proofreading content
  • Managing a content team consisting of in-house, freelance and agency writers
  • Formulating a cross-platform (digital and on-premise) content strategy
  • Brainstorm with team members to develop new ideas
  • Build a following on social media and digital space
  • Lead the content editorial board to provide editorial, creative and technical support to team members
  • Track web analytics to ascertain content engagement levels
  • Manage content across all platforms, including email and social media
To succeed in the Content Manager (Tourism Industry) job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with senior business development teams, across borders and internal matrix.

Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Communications, Journalism, English or related field
  • Three to four years\' agency experience or in a similar role
  • Adept at keyword placement and SEO best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with popular content management systems and platforms
  • Experience with social media management
  • Creativity and the ability to develop original content
  • Ability to develop content that provokes engagement
  • Strong leadership qualities
