Our customers view our regional client service proposition as a key element in deciding with whom to mandate their business.We are now inviting qualified individuals to join this team in the role of Contract Executive - Senior Product Manager / Product Manager - Global Payment Solutions (GPS)Job PurposeHSBC is looking for a Product Manager, with proven experience in the Payments arena for an exciting role in HSBC. The role will cover Payments product management with a key focus on delivering on key payment projects. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in product management as well as an understanding of the wider Payments industry.Principal responsibilities

• Drive GPS innovation and and develop product propositions that fulfills client requirements
• Work with front line team to design and develop solution for client needs and industry trends.
• Develop and implement new ways of working with key clients, partners and vendors for longer term partnerships
• Develop product material including but not limited to creating tools to support sales and client service teams in educating and marketing our Payments product capabilities.
• The jobholder is required to be familiar and to operate within the Product Governance framework, have a strong commercial and business management approach, be able to maintain close relationships with the product managers as well as GPS Client Management and Sales and partner functions to execute the development and deployment of new functionality.
• The jobholder is also responsible for providing strategic and tactical direction for assigned products and work with Sales, RM and CS to develop a healthy pipeline for products under their purview.
• He or she is also required to develop and lead other members of the team in their management of assigned products.
• Challenges requirements and designs detailed, innovative business solutions to realise agreed business requirements
• Supports the business and functions in assessing current state operating model and translating strategy into target operating models, considering the impacts on customers, products/services, organisation, people, process, technology and other key factors.
• Document and develop targeted benefits for a change intervention
• Utilises financial skills to develop a high level business case, considering investment and high level benefits
• Defines, shapes and recommends creative solutions options, weighing risk/reward

Requirements

• Degree or post graduate degree
• A person with good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to self-manage and have strong track record of delivering on tight timelines.
• Past working experience in a relevant role, i.e. Product Manager, Business Analyst, Project Manager is essential.
• A track record of gaining an understanding of customers\' needs and delivering excellent customer service
• A flexible and adaptable approach to change and will support others to respond in a similar way
• Solid expertise in cash management and specifically exposure to Payments is desirable
• Proven introduction of innovation and track record of managing complex product developments and launches
• Knowledge and experience of provision of guidelines and training to stakeholders
• Analytical and problem solving skills
