Prepare food items by ensuring both quality and quantity
Ensure that food items are appropriately arranged on plates and platters
Prepare and assemble portions in accordance with the menu
Store food in an appropriate manner
Ensure that food items are properly rotated in storage
Dispose of expired products and record accordingly
Arrange plates and food items neatly on trays
Ensure cleanliness of kitchen by following cleaning and sanitation guidelines
Manage transportation of food and supplies. Ensure temperatures are within specified range as according to statutory requirements and recommended approved guidance
Deliver food to the appropriate room or person; collect and discard the meal tray within the stipulated time
Managing food inventory and supplies are according to par level
Wash dishes and flatware
Operate and maintain dishwashers
Perform light bookkeeping duties
Report kitchen malfunctions to superior immediately
Inspect food items and equipment on a constant basis
Assist with food preparation services for catering projects
Any other duties as per instructed by the organization
JOB REQUIREMENT
Education:
SPM or equivalent
Knowledge and Experiences:
No experience required as on-the-job training shall be provided. However, experience in food related industry shall be an added
Familiarity with any food industry
Experience in Hospital Dietary Services will be an extra advantage
Knowledge of customer service related
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and interface with various levels of the organization
