Job Description

Our client is a well-established legal firm based in Petaling Jaya, known for its expertise in corporate, conveyancing, and commercial matters. The firm upholds a high standard of professionalism and provides a supportive environment for young lawyers to grow their legal careers through hands-on experience, mentoring, and exposure to real client matters.

Responsibilities

1) Assist in preparing, reviewing and finalizing housing project Sale & Purchase Agreements (SPAs), loan documents and related conveyancing documentation.

2) Liaise with developers, financial institutions, purchasers and relevant government authorities to ensure smooth progress of each transaction.

3) Attend client signings, including during project launches on weekends.

4) Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and firm procedures.

5) Maintain proper file management and documentation tracking.

6) Provide timely updates to clients and stakeholders on transaction status.

7) Perform legal research, drafting and other tasks assigned by partners or senior lawyers.

Requirements

1) LL.B (Hons) and admission to the Malaysian Bar.

2) Freshly called to the Bar or with up to 1 year of post-qualification experience (PQE).

3) Conversant in Mandarin and English (both written and spoken) to liaise with Chinese-speaking clients.

4) Diligent, detail-oriented and willing to learn.

5) Able to work independently and under supervision.

6) Attend signing sessions during housing project launches, including weekends.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
