19 SQUADRON Applications are invited from Malaysian citizen for the position of Cook (LCC2) for the 19 SQN ADF Combined Mess with the Royal Australian Air Force at Butterworth, Penang. This position holds a starting salary of RM 3810 per month. Position overview:
The LEC Cook reports directly to the Team Supervisor under the Management of the Mess Manager. The LEC Cook will be responsible for Combined Mess catering operations including servery/buffet services, ala carte, takeaway food service, ration management, financial management, food safety management, HACCP, in-flight meals and human resources management. 19SQN Catering is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Cook who can work effectively and professionally within a high-accomplished team. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Able to prepare and cook Western & Asian cookery, Sweets/Bakery products, Salads, Nutritional and Dietary Meals
• Able to prepare and cook meals in a Non \xe2\x80\x93 Halal commercial kitchen facility
• Prepare In-Flight meals to meet ADF Catering requirements
• Able to receive feedback from supervisors and customers and work effectively
• Able to work harmoniously in small diverse teams

Essential Requirements:

• Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent as minimum
• Good English communication skills (both written and verbal) with a confident and professional approach
• Self-motivated personality with good interpersonal attributes
• Available to work varied shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends and public holidays
• Excellent standards of personal presentation and grooming
• Have experience and qualifications applicable to current Food Safety Management practices
• to comply food handler vaccination (Typhoid, Hep B & A immunization)
• Must pass pre-employment medical examination prior to employment acceptance
• Understanding use of chemicals and PPE
• Essential to pass Malaysian Police History clearance check
