Job description
- Check food to make sure its quality
- Regulate temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
- Prepare food for cooking \xe2\x80\xa2 Divide food into portions and make sure that the food is well presented
- Store food in temperature\xe2\x80\xa2controlled facilities
- Make sure kitchen is hygienic and functional
- Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements
- Train and supervise subordinate
- Certificate / Diploma in Hotel Catering with 1 years\' experience as Assistant Cook or
- Secondary school qualification with 2 years\' experience as Assistant Cook
- Basic knowledge in food hygiene
- Knowledge of menu and cooking skills
- Knowledge of kitchen set up
- Ability to train new staff
- Computer knowledge will be an added advantage
