The Senior Content Writer will lead the development, creation, and management of high-quality content that enhances the University's image, strengthens its brand identity, and supports marketing, communications, and student recruitment efforts. This role requires exceptional writing, editing, and strategic content planning skills to ensure alignment with the University's goals and consistent messaging across all platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement comprehensive content strategies to support corporate communications, branding, student recruitment, and marketing campaigns.
Produce compelling, persuasive, and creative content for multiple platforms including print, web, digital, broadcast, and social media.
Ensure consistency of tone, voice, and messaging across all University communication channels.
Write, edit, and proofread advertising copy, articles, bulletins, press releases, speeches, newsletters, and other promotional and marketing materials.
Oversee the editorial direction, quality, and production of University publications, media news, brochures, and other printed and electronic materials.
Revise or enhance existing copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with institutional objectives.
Collaborate closely with the Senior Manager and relevant departments to align content with program highlights, advertising themes, and key promotional strategies.
Present creative concepts, campaign drafts, and content ideas for feedback and approval.
Provide editorial guidance to junior writers and content contributors to maintain quality standards.
Generate and manage media interest in the University through well-crafted press releases, stories, and feature pieces.
Maintain regular engagement with media outlets and respond appropriately to media requests.
Lead the creation, curation, and management of digital content for platforms such as the University website, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter (X), Instagram, YouTube, and other emerging channels.
Optimize digital content for SEO, SEM, and audience engagement.
Manage campaign-based content marketing initiatives, ensuring effectiveness and alignment with recruitment and branding goals.
Collaborate with design teams to maintain consistency in the appearance of all University prints and electronic materials, including logos, brochures, letterheads, and digital assets.
Uphold and enhance the University's brand identity across all communication materials.
Support and contribute to University-wide marketing and promotional campaigns, special projects, and cause-related events.
Provide creative content solutions for ad hoc assignments and campaigns as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is an advantage.
Minimum
3-5 years
of professional writing and content creation experience, preferably in higher education, corporate communications, or marketing.
Proven ability to develop content strategies and manage multi-channel campaigns.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.
Familiarity with SEO, SEM, content management systems (CMS), and digital marketing tools.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines while maintaining high quality
