Why does this job exist and why is it critical?

CSA VAS Specialist responsible for providing expert technical assistance, SME expertise, and the operational functionality of Core VAS System elements \xe2\x80\x93 Value Added Services (CRT, Voice Mail, Friend Finder, EIR) and Subscriber Databased (HLR, HSS) .

What are you accountable for?

• Incident/Problem Management \xe2\x80\x93 To promptly & diligently attend to fault management (FM) alert and customer complaint on reported fault by providing initial support, investigation, diagnosis resolution and recovery of services including incident closure and enhance monitoring process and tracking. Come up with troubleshooting guide to enhance fault resolution and prevention through trend analysis, targeting support action and information reporting.
• Change/Configuration Management - To provide a mechanism to identify, control, maintain and verify the version of all documents, asset lists, network diagrams, troubleshooting guide and operating manuals in existence. To provide accurate information and a sound base to support incident, Problem, Change and Release Management, to verify records against existing infrastructure.
• Services Continuity Management - To support the overall recovery of services within required and agreed business time-scales so as to support the minimum business requirements, following an interruption to the business. Methods to adopt includes anticipating fault and devise mitigate efforts; e.g. check system, application or data logs and traffic performance, plan fail-over test.
• Security Management - Work with Engineering & Security on issues relating to Maxis\xe2\x80\x99 security policy. Attend to SOC alarm/alert on downtime and NCS, customer complain by providing initial support, investigation via log files available, diagnosis and work with Security team to resolve issues pertaining to security. To help implement security policies.

What do you need to have for this role?

• IT or telecommunication graduate with knowledge in Linux (OS) and Database (SQL, MYSQL) will be preferable.
• Fresh graduate are encourage to apply
• Scripting language (shell, phyton) and other programming skills.
• Digitalization skills such as in Power BI or SPLUNK will be an advantage.
• Tertiary education in technical/telecommunication field.
• Possess relevant team management experience.
