International Subsidiary Banking (ISB) is CMB\xe2\x80\x99s international proposition which aims to provide banking coverage to the subsidiaries of Commercial Banking (CMB) customers within the Large Corporate and Mid- Market Enterprise segments. The ISB strategy is to provide consistent, in-depth, and dedicated coverage across the HSBC network with the end goal to deepen our relationship with our customers. The ISB business is a significant contributor of revenue to CMB and consists of a network of dedicated bankers across more than 40 countries.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role of Corporate Banking Manager - International Subsidiary Banking (ISB) - Business Development

Principal Accountabilities
The jobholder\xe2\x80\x99s main role is to increase market penetration and profitability of international subsidiaries in the northern region which covers Perak, Penang and Kedah whilst maximizing total contributions to the Bank. Acquisition of new to bank customers is an important element of the role and experience in business development is needed.

Responsibilities

• To generate new leads and uncover new business opportunities in the northen region.
• To build and nurture new and existing clients to cultivate profitable relationships.
• To upsell and cross-sell the bank\xe2\x80\x99s products and contribute to the growth and profitability of HBMY\xe2\x80\x99s ISB business with emphasis on promoting our ISB capabilities;
• Evaluating and recommending where appropriate, credit proposals in his/her portfolio, within the risk parameters, area lending guidelines and assigned lending limits;
• Establish ties with other GRMs and ISB teams across the Group to identify opportunities and to work with Marketing to promote ISB.

Requirements

• At least 8-10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in commercial banking & business development
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Strong track record of delivery with breadth of knowledge in banking products and services
• Customer focused with a \xe2\x80\x98Yes\xe2\x80\x99 approach to customer service
• Organizational savvy, strong influencing and stakeholder management skills
• Strong command of English and any other language capabilities i.e. Mandarin & Hokkien
• Willing to travel as traveling between Perak, Penang and Kedah is expected for this role
