Corporate Security Risk & Crisis Manager, Asia Pacific Region
The Corporate Security Risk & Crisis Manager assists the Corporate Security Director Asia Pacific (CS Director Asia Pacific), CS Leadership Team Asia Pacific (CS LT Asia Pacific), Market and Factory Leads in enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the Corporate Security function, through the development, implementation and maintenance of global business security programs and tools, including, but not limited to, global risk and crisis management. He/she assists the CS LT Asia Pacific, Market and Factory Leads in the management of CS knowledge, records, relevant best practices in order to ensure continuous improvement of CS deliverables. The incumbent is expected to support CS Director Asia Pacific with the coordination and maintenance of all central systems, databases and tools to support timely and effective decision making by the CS LT Asia Pacific, Market, and Factory Leads and contribute to the successful delivery of the global business security services. The incumbent may be called upon to provide other security services in Asia Pacific region or worldwide, as directed by the CS Director Asia Pacific or CS Vice President.
What will you do?

  • Global CS Programs and Initiatives
    • Assist CS Director Asia Pacific to implement, maintain and ensure efficiency of core global business security programs, including, but not limited to: Travel Security, Security Risk Management, Crisis Management and Security Incidents Management.
    • Assist CS Director Asia Pacific to align, impement and adjust to local specific (ifvneeded) global policies, standards and procedures across Asia Pacific region as well as related training, educational and awareness materials.
    • Assist CS Director Asia Pacific in development, implementation and maintenance of: talent development, records, project management, training and communication programs.
    • Assist CS Director Asia Pacific on information security related matters, including the development of procedures, best practices, awareness campaigns and information security incident investigations.
    • Continually seek innovative opportunities for enhancing global and local business security programs, tools and best practicies.
    • Assist CS Director Asia Pacific to implement, administer and ensure consistent usage of the global business security tools, e.g. SIMP and its modules as follows:
      • Incident, Risk and Crisis Management; CS and CP Audits; Security and Safety reviews, training and services; best practices; Talent Development and others as directed
  • Risk and Crisis Management
    • Assist CS Director Asia Pacific with:
      • Provision of timely advice on the operating environment, relevant security incidents and breaches to the CS Director Asia Pacific, Leadership Team Asia Pacific, Market, and Factory Leads and, if required, other company functions to enable well informed and timely business decision making.
      • Monitoring global CS databases to check that lessons learnt are carefully considered and corresponding follow-up action plans are developed and effectively implemented regionally.
  • Networking
    • Internally - maintain and develop effective working relationships with the Central CS Team, CS LT Asia Pacific, Regional, Market and Factory Security Leads, JTI ERM and other teams as required. Develop networks throughout all functions and levels to promote and drive global security initiatives.
    • Externally - develop relationships with relevant business partners, international counterparts to include security agencies, intelligence, and private sector counterparts. Engages, by membership, in recognized public and private security and risk management associations.
  • Financial Management
    • Budget management of CS costs across Asia Pacific region.
    • The incumbent is expected to assist CS Director Asia Pacific to exercise effective and efficient financial management of the global and local security program which requires planning and presentation.
    • Assist CS Director Asia Pacific with the management of contracts with service vendors for CS.
  • Talent Management
    • The incumbent will play an active role in his/her continued development within the CS Talent Development Program.
Who are we looking for?
  • University degree or equivalent required
  • Advanced degree in Business Management, Strategy, or Law required
  • Professional training in risk and crisis management required
  • Project management education is desireable
  • At least 15 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a government-funded military, law enforcement, or intelligence organization, AND at least two years of private sector corporate security experience with broad knowledge of all aspects of security operations. Demonstrated, actual crisis management experience within the Asia Pacific region.
  • Demonstrated experience in development and implementation of the security programs and initiatives on a regional or global level.
  • Fluency in English is essential, both written and oral. Other regional languages would be highly desirable.
  • Must be competent in personal computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
