• Collaborate with business units, operations, and supply chain teams by providing accurate financial insights for management of inventories and manufacturing cost-related matters.
• Work extensively with the procurement and production team in handling product costing to develop standard cost models, maintain periodic cost revision exercises, and ensure accuracy in the Bill of Materials.
• Coordinate with ERP consultants for costing system issues, maintenance related to production, purchasing, and other areas.
• Periodic review and analysis of production and price variance to ensure effective cost control.
• Analyze cost accounting data and be responsible for physical inventories, including treatment, movement, and transactions.
• Responsible for month-end closing activities, including preparing necessary journal entries, analyzing inventory valuation, variances, and accruals.
• Prepare and report periodic gross margin analysis by business line and product.
• Review and analyze fixed and variable cost reports, provide commentary on cost behavior patterns, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain internal control documentation, provide government and statistic reports, assist in annual audit and tax reporting.
• Provide support to the Treasury as relates to planning and forecasting activities.
• Embrace the ERP implementation to leverage capabilities and identify areas for process improvement within manufacturing operations.
• Implement practices to optimize workflows and make necessary adjustments to the ERP system to align with evolving business needs.
• Other ad hoc tasks/responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time

Market Leader |Pioneer RoleThe ideal Cost Accountant will be confident in leading from the front and be responsible for the growth of the company and must possess the below requirements;Key Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in accounting or CIMA/ACCA equivalent.
• At least 7 years relevant working experience with a minimum of 3 years in manufacturing costing and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Proficiency in ERP systems and experience in project management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
