About the Role
We're looking for a
Cost Accountant
to manage and analyze product and inventory costs in a manufacturing environment. You'll help ensure accurate costing, support management in understanding profitability, and work closely with other departments to improve cost efficiency.Key Responsibilities
Maintain and update
standard product and inventory costs
in the ERP system. Review and updatelabor and overhead rates
regularly. Work withEngineering and Sales
to ensure accurate cost data for new products. Analyze and report onprofit margins and cost variances
. Supportbudgeting, audit requests, and month-end closing
. Prepareweekly, monthly, and ad-hoc cost analysis reports
for management. Collaborate with other departments to improve cost control and reporting.Requirements
Bachelor's degree
in Accounting or Finance.5+ years
of relevant experience in costing or inventory accounting. Experience inmanufacturing
(preferably plastics or metals). StrongExcel
skills; ERP system experience (Epicor is a plus). Knowledge ofGAAP/IFRS
and costing principles. Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and communication skills. Able to work independently and meet deadlines.Job Type: Permanent
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
