The specific position to-be-recruited is within CP DS&F supports Global Lubricants and Sector & Decarbonization Business. This is an excellent opportunity to apply and develop Contracting & Procurement (C&P) capabilities while broadening and gaining knowledge and experience in a \xe2\x80\x98GLOCAL\xe2\x80\x99 way of working, leveraging both global and local supply chains and relationships. The role will grow together with the new business areas, work as \xe2\x80\x98business partner\xe2\x80\x99 to provide the best possible supply chain management and deal making solution for business, and pave the road of future success together.

The role provides an excellent opportunity to advance commercial and technical skills in C&P while interacting with various disciplines in and outside of Shell Lubricants such as Lubricants Supply Chain, Product Management, Material Technology, Sales & Marketing, Business Development, M&A, HSSE, Legal, Finance. The goal is to deliver overall value to business through best commercial deals, assured supply security, and continuous performance improvement. The candidate will have opportunity of Short-Term International Assignment (STIA) at Shell Lubricants Japan to support the CP full integration.

What\'s the role?

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders to define and deliver commercially innovative solutions for Business Development procurement activities. Examples are Merger & Acquisition deals, new venture integration, 3P partnership projects.
• Act in both a Regional integration and global category interface with the Business Development capacity, ensuring succinct and efficient management of both groups.
• Ensure the development and execution of procurement strategies are based on Category Management & Contracting Process and implementation of Global Category Strategies.
• Support business with the intent of improving/sustaining operational excellence, data management, standardization and ensure all CP activities are in line with the appropriate DS MoA.
• Work with CP Data, RtP to ensure Operational Excellence and implementation of GSAP, Ariba, and RtP.
• Ensure all procurement activities are done in compliance to SGBP and Shell policies in respect of Ethic & Compliance and sustainable sourcing standards. Contribute to Shell net zero emissions goal and decarbonization initiative targets.

Dimensions

• CP support to Business Development projects in Asia Pac region and CP integration of Portfolio Companies (for example, Shell Lubricants Japan)
• Work closely with CP GL, CP Ops, CP Data, CP Process & System, CP in Portfolio Companies
• Multiple internal stakeholder groups include senior levels in the organization.
• Play role to manage senior level relationship with suppliers in some cases.

Challenges

• Ethics & Compliance in the process of third party spend management.
• Ability to engage & influence various groups of stakeholders to lead and deliver business commercial agenda for a sustainable cost structure with the flexibility to adapt to the complexity of business environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and be a CP advocate in the business. Good mix of commercial acumen, creative thinking, and superior negotiation skills.
• Continuous assessment of priorities and learnings, ability to adapt and lead sustainable changes, while ensuring alignment with business strategy and focus.

What do we need from you?

• Fluent in English and Japanese language is required
• Marketing / CP / Commercial professional with at least 5 years of experience
• Strong business acumen and demonstrated commercial delivery experience
• Proven track record of integrated value creation, execution excellence and delivering results
• Strong negotiation skills and solid grounding in all the CP fundamental
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills at all levels in the organization
• Strong learner mindset with open mind and agility, self-starter, leadership, change management
• Project management & implementation skills are a plus
• Experience in Lubricants businesses or Downstream or FMCG business context is an advantage
