Job Requirements: Possess a technical certificate and a crane operations qualification/training (for crane up to 30MT). Minimum of 5 years\' experience in operating cranes on an offshore oil and gas installation. Must be competent to operate hydraulic and electro-hydraulic cranes capacity up to 30MT for material /cargo and personnel lift. Must thoroughly understand the load chart, hand signals and safety requirements of offshore crane operations. Must be well versed in the correct and proper usage / maintenance of lifting tools such as slings, shackles, spreader bars, hooks and etc. Must have reasonable command of spoken and written English. Able to handle some high stress situations such as but not limited to operating the crane while making critical lift i.e. transferring personnel, making heavy and non-routine lifts. Must be fit to participate in physical activities such as but not limited to leading rescue, and firefighting activities in the event of a helicopter crash emergency on the platform as HLO, physically fit to lift or carry small load up to 10kg. Job Responsibilities: Participate actively in Company HSE programs and contribute freely to the achievement of the Company\'s HSE policies and objectives. Through personal commitment and involvement, contribute to the safe and environmentally responsible operations of the Company\'s day-to-day operations by complying with all policies and procedures and actively contributing to improvement through hazard and incident reporting and suggesting improvements. Perform the day-to-day activities in order to meet the daily hydrocarbon production target in an efficient and professional manner, and in compliance with all Company\'s HSE requirements and other relevant rules, regulations & policies. Competent to perform the first line maintenance, daily inspections and general up keeping of the cranes. Supervising the deck crew on slinging, rigging, lifting operations, scaffolding work and general / menial work. Maintaining the crane logs and keeping track of critical components such as wire ropes limit switches, load indicator and etc. Competent to take the responsibilities of a \'Helicopter Landing Officer\' and have been trained /certified for the task. To attend safety meetings, emergency and lifesaving drills in accordance with the Company Safety Policy. Loading and unloading of equipment, chemicals, and general supplies to and from supply vessels, or for the moving of these cargo items as required to support daily activities. Conduct daily checks of the Cranes and completed crane checklist as per requirement To attend pre-job meetings, JHA reviews and task communications (including team discussion of control mechanisms) that involves crane operations. Responsible for the inventory of all equipment necessary in the operation of the crane including slings, chains, ropes etc., keeping the MTL, OPS & OIM informed of equipment replacement needs. Assist Material Coordinator in performing maintenance of inventory and coordination of spares. Responsibility for the color-coding, inspection and maintenance of lifting slings in use, and the removal from service of unsafe or damaged slings Responsibility for performing all duties in a safe manner in accordance with Company policies and procedures. Ensure clear communications are maintained between the Banksman and Crane Ops at all times. Safe and efficient deck layout and stacking of cargo during daily operation Assume roles as Radio Operator when require. Attending all Safety and Training Courses that are deemed necessary for this job position, which are either a Company or Operator requirement. Ensuring crane related critical spare parts are updated and available Place ordering of spare parts as and when required. Attend and participate in safety related meeting, i.e. platform general inspection, Hazard hunt, JOBS, USUA and as required by platform management To assist other team members (Production technician, E&I tech, Mech Tech, Medic RO) in daily activities in a safe manner that does not encroach into competent personnel job scope (e.g. assist in rigging up equipment, material placement, tool preparation, buddy system, manual lifting etc.) To carry out mitigative touch up painting (to arrest corrosion) on surfaces that are found to be corroded while waiting for the mobilization of painting crew to come on board. Lead grating clips and anti slip pad inspection at all location on the platform. Job Location: SapuraOMV offshore location(s). Job Reporting: This position reports to the Operation Supervisor.
