Leveraging FCM\'s negotiating strength and supplier relationships in conjunction with our tailored business travel programs, our expertise and our innovative technology, we logically become the partner of choice of our customers.About the OpportunityThis role will support our Asia markets where FCM has presence in. At FCM, the Credit Controller mainly ensure that our clients are timely billed and build a robust cash collection process in order to avoid any outstanding debts. The credit controller is the gatekeeper of the group Credit Policy and she/he must implement processes, controls and tactics which allow FCM to collect cash on time.The general duties include but not limited to contacting clients to notify them of missed payment or overdue invoice(s) to negotiate prompt payment, creating & maintaining a client master data to track clients\' behaviors, performing credit checks to ensure clients\' solvency before granting credits and providing administrative support as required by management.Key Responsibilities: * Monitoring Accounts Receivables balances through creation of dashboards and KPIs (e.g. DSO - Days Sales Outstanding) and make sure collection processes are efficient and effective

  • Contact clients to chase cash in accordance with agreed payment terms and company\'s credit policy
  • Conduct monthly clients\' committees: produce AR analysis, escalate to management any risk of bad debts creation, report outstanding issues
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of statements of account and invoices delivery to clients
  • Handle client helpdesk on billing matters: invoice dispute, billing enquiries, resolve issue in relation to invoice, refund, and payment by liaising externally with client and internally across different departments, escalating to management where necessary, work with legal attorneys to discuss suitable conditions and terms for debt payment as required, etc.
  • Perform credit checks: evaluate new client requests to ensure a proper documentation is collected as per company policy and use internal and external resources such as financial reports to assess eligibility of new credit applications
  • Set up client terms in our mid-office system
  • Maintain a customer master data allowing FCM to deploy smooth automation and to identify easy clients\' profiles (forms of payment, payment behaviours, industries, etc.)
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for all processed owned
  • Deliver on other ad-hoc finance and admin duties when needed (e.g. banking arrangement set ups, merchant facilities, liaison with company secretary for changes to signatories etc. )
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s diploma or degree in a finance or business-related field of study.
  • Minimum 3 years\' experience in accounts receivable or debt collection / credit control role.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to accomplish team goals and objectives
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Well versed in communicating with debtors, comfortable to face internal and external stakeholders.
  • Independent decision maker, ability to maintain a firm and courteous manner under challenging circumstance.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin (Malay is a plus)
