About the Department

The Credit and Risk Management function is comprised of three teams: Risk Management, Credit and Special Asset Management. We manage the risks arising from the Group\'s business activities within the risk appetite established by the Board. This involves identifying and evaluating the risks, developing effective risk governance and strategies as well as providing independent assessment of the overall risk profile.

Job Responsibilities

  • To negotiate, persuade and convince customer to pay i.e. quick thinker with quick answers(versatile) when customers try to evade payment
  • To assess how genuine a customer\'s reason for non payment and propose a solution with alternative options i.e. balance transfer, refinancing, reschedule, restructuring, rewrite etc
  • Remain calm when provoked by internal or external customers as 90% of their time spend on job is dealing with distress customer
  • To communicate and carry oneself in a proper professional manner. Practice fair dealing with customers.
  • To listen attentively and respond when appropriate
  • Self motivate and self develop: take initiative to learn and stay positive
  • Must be target oriented & work well under pressure
  • Must be alert to detect pattern behavior of customer when on the job in order to make the appropriate recommendation to curb bank\'s losses
  • Inquisitive and analytical mind to provide feedback for planning future credit and marketing strategies
  • Receptive to changes especially if it is the bank\'s direction
  • Must be alert & play a role to reduce cost per recovery
Job Requirements
  • Degree in any field
  • Preferably 1-2 years of working experience in recovery
  • Fresh graduate are encouraged to apply
  • Strong communication skills, especially English and Bahasa Melayu. Proficient in Mandarin will be an added advantage
  • Possess strong interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Computer literate, i.e. Microsoft word and excel
  • Target oriented and able to work under pressure
