Client background: Construction company

Position title: CSA Engineering Manager

Headcount: 1

Tenure: Permanent

Location: Kulim, Kedah

Responsibilities:

Forecast and plan requirements for resources by discipline for project support;

Provide technical leadership and raise competence of the detail engineering discipline;

Supervise and lead a group of Senior and Junior Engineers;

Actively improvise inter-discipline communication development;

Actively improvise inter-department communication development;

Develop staff management, training and mentoring programs;

Explore new technology application

Review technical specification sheets for major construction material items;

Design reviews and clarifications at the early stages of process and basic engineering works;

Reviewing engineering work for technical accuracy, constructability, costing and budgetary proposal meeting technical requirements;

Identifying new technology and discussing with potential technology partners;

Establishment of an Engineering Knowledge Database (including optimization of engineering standards and formats and optimization of engineering / technical library);

Education:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil and Structure Engineering

Working Experience:

Require minimum 5 years\' experience and excellent knowledge in Detail Engineering

Technical & Professional Knowledge:

Good management skill, both hard and soft skill;

Good knowledge of both local and international codes, standards and regulations;

Familiar with Microsoft Office Application such as Excel, Words & PowerPoint;

Experience in Industrial building design and construction;

Basic knowledge in Architecture design and construction work;

Knowledge of structure design software is an advantage;

Strong background in design and construction management is an advantage;

Strong background in construction cost estimation is an advantage;

Fluent written and spoken in English, Bahasa Malaysia;

Fluent written and spoken in Chinese is an added advantage.
