Sunway College KL, an established private college and a leading provider of pre-university programmes in Malaysia, welcomes applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Curriculum & Learning Specialist/ Coordinator for Pre-University Studies (Pre-U). Sunway Pre-U comprises a range of pathway programmes that prepare students for higher education locally and abroad. The Curriculum & Learning Specialist/ Coordinator will collaborate with academic and administration teams to design and deliver effective teaching-learning approaches and develop support materials for hybrid teaching-learning activities and assessments to a wide range of learners.
This position reports to the Director of Pre-University Studies or any other representative as deemed appropriate.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

• Lead, manage, and facilitate the design and development of teaching and learning resources according to the curriculum requirements of different Pre-university/Foundation programmes.
• Coordinate and review the delivery of Sunway Foundation programmes at Sunway Colleges to ensure consistency in quality of curriculum and delivery.
• Build resource materials in print and digital forms for teaching, learning, and assessments for a range of learners and/or campuses with particular focus on supporting and embedding SDGs and digital and financial literacies.
• Manage the implementation and use of resource materials according to good quality assurance processes and practices.
• Conduct ongoing review and continuous improvement to teaching approaches and learning resources.
• Identify professional development needs of academic teams and organise suitable programmes to support academic teams to deliver curricula effectively to diverse groups of students and/or campuses.
• Collaborate in curriculum design and development matters at Sunway International Schools as pipeline to Sunway Pre-U.

Skills and experience:

• Excellent English language skills; written and verbal communication.
• Experience in designing, developing and/or delivering student-centred resource materials in print and digital formats for innovative and effective teaching-learning purposes.
• Able to work independently and in teams to build and maintain positive relationships across academic and administration departments to support students\xe2\x80\x99 learning and assessment needs.
• Candidates with teaching experience in Pre-University/ Foundation/ Matriculation programmes or in corporate training are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications:

• Degree in education, teaching, curriculum development or related fields.
• At least five (5) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working in education/ teaching/ training that evidence practitioner\xe2\x80\x99s understanding of pedagogy and curriculum development.

Other Information:

• Salary package for this position will commensurate with skills and experience.
• The position is based at Sunway College KL (Sunway City campus) but some travel to other college campuses may be required.
