Job Description

Position Summary



The Customer Quality Engineer (CQE) serves as the key liaison between the company and customers on all quality-related matters. This role ensures that customer requirements are met, manages quality issues, drives corrective actions, and supports continuous improvement to enhance customer satisfaction and product quality.

Key Responsibilities1. Customer Quality Management



Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding quality issues, audits, and technical support. Handle customer complaints, provide timely updates, and ensure effective follow-up. Maintain strong communication and relationships with customer quality teams.

2. Non-Conformance & Corrective Actions



Lead investigation of customer issues using root cause analysis tools (5Why, Fishbone, 8D). Prepare and submit 8D reports, corrective action plans, and containment actions. Monitor implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions.

3. Quality Assurance & Compliance



Ensure product quality meets customer specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements. Support PPAP, FAIR, customer-specific documentation, and sample submission. Participate in internal and external audits related to customer quality.

4. Data Analysis & Reporting



Analyse customer defect data, trends, and RMA/return analysis. Generate reports for customer scorecards, performance reviews, and internal management. Recommend improvement plans based on quality metrics.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration



Work closely with Production, Process Engineering, QA/QC, and Planning to resolve issues. Support new product introduction (NPI) and engineering changes from a customer quality perspective. Provide training to operators and internal teams on customer quality requirements.

6. Continuous Improvement



Drive initiatives to reduce defects, improve process stability, and enhance customer satisfaction. Participate in Lean, Kaizen, or Six Sigma activities related to quality improvement

Requirements



Diploma/Degree in Quality, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. Minimum 2-4 years' experience in QA, QC, or Customer Quality roles (manufacturing environment). Strong knowledge of quality tools and standards (ISO9001, IATF16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA). Excellent problem-solving skills and experience using structured RCA tools. Good communication skills with ability to interact with customers professionally. Knowledge of measurement tools, SPC, and data analysis is a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
