Summary

The Customs Entry Specialist is responsible for managing import and export customs formalities, preparing and submitting customs declarations on behalf of customers, and coordinating transportation arrangements after successful clearance. This role ensures that all shipments are processed smoothly and in full compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and submit customs declaration forms accurately and on time. Manage all customs-related formalities with relevant authorities to ensure smooth clearance processes. Review and advise clients and agents on HS Codes, required permits, and applicable duties/taxes. Ensure all necessary documentation for customs clearance is in order. Coordinate with local distribution partners and vendors to arrange transport and delivery of shipments when required. Monitor and follow up on discrepancies promptly to avoid delays. Collect and process supplier invoices, liaise with Finance, and ensure timely payments as per agreed terms. Serve as a liaison between Finance and Customs Clearance teams/agents to maintain smooth documentation and transaction flow. Provide administrative support to the department on freight-related matters. Handle e-commerce declarations (E-Pam) and support courier cargo system updates and billing activities. Manage trucking and brokerage coordination, including duty/SST confirmation, job creation, and billing. Adhere strictly to the company's compliance, corporate policies, and procedures. Perform any other duties or projects as assigned by the direct supervisor to support business requirements.
