Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team.

This role is responsible for assisting in daily security operations, supporting compliance

activities, and contributing to various cybersecurity initiatives. You will work closely with

internal teams and external vendors to help maintain, monitor, and improve our

security posture.

This position is also open to fresh graduates with a strong interest in cybersecurity and a

willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in overseeing and maintaining security operations, including system configurations, access controls, and protection mechanisms. Support compliance and governance activities such as documentation, reporting, and audits Learn to manage and monitor security tools and solutions to ensure data protection and regulatory adherence. Participate in risk assessments and contribute to strengthening the organization's security posture. Contribute to security awareness programs and support training initiatives. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure effective identity, access, and infrastructure security.
Job Requirements

Education & Certification Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Professional certifications (preferred but not mandatory): CEH, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Security certifications.
Experience

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Internship or academic project experience in IT or cybersecurity is an advantage. Familiarity with IAM, SIEM, endpoint security, or certificate management is a plus. Knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Microsoft Azure/Entra, IBM Cloud) is an added advantage.
Skills

Strong interest in cybersecurity with a willingness to learn and adapt. Basic understanding of security frameworks, policies, and best practices. Good communication and documentation skills. Ability to work under supervision and manage tasks effectively. Familiarity with RMIT and PCI DSS frameworks is a plus.

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
