About the Role

We are seeking a

Data & AI Ops Engineer

to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and integration frameworks that support analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives across the organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on data professional who enjoys optimizing performance, ensuring data quality, and enabling data-driven decision-making across multiple business systems.

What You'll Do

Design and develop

end-to-end data pipelines and integration workflows

to support analytics and operational systems. Ensure

data accuracy and consistency

through validation, cleansing, and transformation processes. Collaborate with developers and analysts to define requirements and deliver aligned data solutions. Optimize

data storage and retrieval performance

across cloud and on-prem platforms. Support deployment and enhancement of

data models, APIs, and ETL/ELT frameworks

in line with architectural and governance standards. Monitor and resolve

data-related Incident and Service Requests (IR/SR)

in accordance with SLAs. Document data flows, schemas, and integration logic for audit, compliance, and knowledge sharing. Participate in

data-centric IT projects

, ensuring alignment with business and technical goals. Stay current on emerging data technologies and best practices to continuously enhance efficiency.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's Degree

in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field. Minimum

6 years' hands-on experience

in data engineering, integration, or analytics platform development (3+ years in enterprise-grade solutions); OR

Diploma

with at least

8 years of practical experience

, including 4 years in a senior or lead data engineering role. Strong knowledge of

data architecture, modeling, ETL/ELT frameworks, and distributed processing.

Hands-on experience in

RDBMS

; knowledge in

Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Power BI

is an advantage. Familiar with

API-based integration

(REST, SOAP, MQ) and

cloud data services

(Azure, AWS, GCP). Understanding of

data governance, security, and compliance standards.

Awareness of

AI and ML fundamentals

, including chatbot development and predictive analytics. Experience in

business intelligence and reporting frameworks.

Strong documentation and communication skills in English. Able to work effectively in cross-functional teams and dynamic environments.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
