Join Roche, where every voice matters.The PositionJOB MISSIONAs part of Roche\xc2\xb4s Business Intelligence and Data Analysis team, the Data and Analytics Specialist will build and maintain trusting, working relationships with business stakeholders in a cross functional environment, understanding the analytic needs of the domain, and working in an agile product team setting fulfilling those needs.RESPONSIBILITIESTransforming, testing, visualizing and documenting analytic data productsIdentify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data setsCollaborate cross-functionally with data & insights peers and business stakeholders to discover high impact opportunities and deliver robust solutions to enable self-service analyticsUnderstand where various opportunities fit into the broader strategies and prioritize competing demands to ensure the most impactful items are deliveredParticipate as a data analyst in an agile team to deliver analytics to the business stakeholdersParticipate in user discovery sessions, iterative refinement cycles with technical team and sprint planningDevelop high-impact data layers, user interfaces and other tools to enable self-service analyticsGather feedback and input on self-service implementations from end-users and peers and create a cycle of continuous improvementKeep a close eye on usage of the self-service data products and engage in activities (socialization, documentation, etc.) designed to increase usageWHO YOU AREAn experienced analytics professional with a proven track record of understanding the true needs of the business stakeholder and how to leverage data / analytic skills and partnerships to fulfill those needsA team player contributing to an agile team focused on data product deliveryYou are comfortable with ambiguity, and able to thrive with minimal oversight and processCAPABILITIES / EXPERIENCEYou have exceptional communication and collaborative skillsYou have an investigative and curious mindset and easily understand business rules and application to dataExperience with agile methodology and working in agile teams is preferredYou are highly experienced working with data and analytic report interpretationYou are experienced with building and maintaining semantic layers and self-service visualization technologies (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Qlik, SAP Analytics Cloud etc.) for non-technical end-user useYou can build ETLs for self-use in your analytic solutions (Alteryx, dbt, Talend etc.)You have the ability to write complex SQL queries, ad-hoc data pipelines and familiarity with dimensional modeling / data warehouse conceptsKnowledge on Python and/or R programming language is a plusYou are proficient on the use of office apps (GSheets/Excel, GDocs/Word, GSlides/PowerPoint ) - GSuite is preferredExperience in healthcare analytics and working with healthcare data in a regulated environment is a plusAdvanced English is requiredBachelor Degree in Informatics (or equivalent) with 3+ years of relevant experienceExperience in following technologies and concepts would be a plus: Data Architecture Concepts, Data Engineering Methodologies, Data Warehouse/Vault Concepts and Methodologies, Product Technical Documentation, Snowflake, DataOps, AWS basics, Qualtrics basics / Survey Platform basicsWho we areAt Roche, more than 100,000 people across 100 countries are pushing back the frontiers of healthcare.
