Job Purpose Summary:

This position is responsible for monitoring of all online system activities and EOD batch processing to ensure on-time deliverables.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Functional (job responsibilities)

1) Ensure daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly/half yearly/yearly jobs for all systems stated in the operations schedule are performed accurately and in a timely manner

2) Ensure all reports are printed and delivered to user as per signed SLA(s)

3) Ensure all statements are printed and delivered to outsourced vendor as per agreed schedule(s) together with an acknowledgment form stating the volume

4) Monitor all online system activities and EOD batch processing

monitor response time and application runtime

monitor daily computer operations with an eye towards unusual events and notify superior about potential problems associated with the computer operations

5) Ensure all backups and restores are performed (both Data Centre facility at WHL, CRC and Wisma MPL)

confirm that backup processes are running properly and that backup processes have created the appropriate operational logs

confirm that data may be fully restored

6) Ensure security procedures and audit requirement are adhered to at all times

maintain the physical security of all information systems equipment located in the Data Centre facility, permitting only authorized personnel into the facility and as necessary, escorting and supervising the activities of all 3rd party service personnel

manage the secure handling of backup tapes, diskettes, cartridges, CDs and other data recording media such that only authorized personnel are permitted to have possession of these media.

maintain a clean disk

7) Ensure regular housekeeping are performed in the Data Centre facility

8) Ensure the computer stationery e.g. computer forms, pre-printed statement are sufficiently stocked at all times and notify the shift leader when the stock level is low

9) Respond promptly to

user requests/queries on reports and problems

customer queries/complaints on ATM

Managerial (team/group responsibilities)

Escalation is adhere to promptly

Organizational (organizational responsibilities)

• Participate in the executing jobs for all implementation or cutover activities to production system.

Jobholder Requirements:
Education/Qualification
SPM/STMP (preferably graduates Diploma or Degree holder)
Experience
For SPM leavers - Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in computer operations.
Computer operations in a Mainframe AS/400, UNIX, Window
Appropriate computer operations experience (preferably in a Banking environment)
Banking Application knowledge (i.e. OCM24, Silverlake, Murex) is an added advantage
Knowledge on Batch Automation
