Job Description

Primary role:

Perform installation, termination, testing and labeling of cabling for CAT5e/CAT6, coaxial and fiber.

Perform site survey at any assigned locations and produce full report on findings.

Perform installation of caging, data center containment, cable containment, rack, IT equipment and other electrical/electronic devices.

Perform structural works such as painting, piping, demolition, partitioning etc.

Perform cabling troubleshooting onsite as and when required.

Purchase and collection of urgently required/unplanned materials.

Assisting in warehousing works such as receiving, sorting, and stocking items.

Secondary role:
Carrying out faction check, prior to using the equipment for gas testing.

Carrying out the gas test before approver giver the approver to start work.

Testing the atmosphere continuously or at sufficient frequency to establish the area remains free flammable materials and combustible during the work.

Testing the concentration of acute toxic substance and evacuate non-essential personnel to safe location if the concentration is greater than occupational exposure Limit (OEL)

Investigating or initiating investigation in any deviation in the oxygen level or in the contaminant level of toxic or flammable.

Repeating the test at a frequency sufficient to verify that occupant in the confined space are protected from atmospheric hazard.

To stop work and withdraw personnel in the event of any suspected deterioration of atmospheric condition encountered at site.

Declared and provide the medical health status AGT shall have the following qualification.

Attend training course for authorized gas tester and entry supervisor conducted by the national institute of occupational safety & health (NIOSH) or training provide registered with department of occupation safety and health (dosh), and passed the examination.

Registered with DOSH.

Support to HSE manager, safety officer, site safety supervisor and HSE section.

Other as assigned by HSE Manager.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year working experiences in Data Center works or similar.

Knowledge and experience in operating cable testers including generating test result both in hardcopy and softcopy is an added advantage.

Availability during after-office hours, weekend or public holidays for emergency support.

Exhibit quality workmanship for all tasks assigned/undertaken.

Maintain site cleanliness at all times.

Adhering to safety policies and procedures at all times.

Ability to work independently as well as a team.

Task prioritizing, multitasking and time management.

Excellent written and spoken interpersonal communication skills.

Able to start work immediately.

Valid motorbike & car driving license holder required

Valid GDL license holder advantageous but not required

CIDB & NIOSH valid card holder preferred but not required

Candidate with Confined Space activities, basic safety, document and Safety knowledge would be advantage.

There will be a practical test during interview on copper & fiber cable termination/splicing and testing. Those who think they are unable to perform this or do not want to try need not apply. Considerations will only be given to those who pass the test.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
