Job Description

You are responsible for developing tailored data center solutions, collaborating with sales teams to understand client needs, and providing technical expertise (power, cooling, racking etc) during the proposal phase. You will need to also ensure that proposed solutions align with client requirements, industry standards, and the company\'s product offerings to support successful project delivery.

• Manages projects, ensuring compliance with pre-approved designs and operational procedures.
• Provides strategic guidance to project owners, stakeholders, and vendors throughout project execution.
• Prepares RFPs/RFQs and other necessary documents for project budgeting, estimates, bids, and tenders.
• Tracks, reports, and presents regular project updates to business leaders, customers, and stakeholders.
• Collaborates with stakeholders and the Finance team to ensure timely procurement of project packages within budget.
• Maintains and updates all project documentation and contracts for record-keeping, retention, and audit purposes.
• Conducts vendor selection, appointment, and tender/bid interviews, ensuring due diligence for all projects.
• Supervises vendors to ensure projects are executed according to internal requirements and contractual obligations.

• Bachelor\'s degree in engineering, information technology, or a related field. A Master\'s degree or certifications like PMP or ITIL can be advantageous.

Experience:

• Proven experience in presales, project management, or technical consulting within data center solutions.
• Experience in managing end-to-end data center projects, including design, procurement, and vendor management.

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, networking, and storage.
• Familiarity with IT and cloud technologies, virtualization, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Proficiency in preparing RFPs/RFQs, project documentation, and cost estimates.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, stakeholders, and vendors.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and teams.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities to ensure project success within scope and budget.

Certifications (Best to have):

• Data center certifications like CDCP (Certified Data Centre Professional), CDCS (Certified Data Centre Specialist), or similar qualifications.

Vendor and Stakeholder Management:

• Experience working with vendors and external partners, including conducting due diligence and managing contracts.

Adaptability:

• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle complex projects.
