About the Role Swift is a member-owned cooperative that provides the communications platform, products and services to connect more than 10,000 banking organizations, securities institutions and corporate customers in 211 countries. As part of its Instant, Frictionless payments strategy, Swift is rapidly expanding its Data & Analytics capabilities to support our customers in this area of understanding payments.
In this context, the Data and Analytics tribe is looking for a Senior Data Engineer with excellent technical skills combined with a real sense of leadership and responsibility. Together with the team, you will have the opportunity to build the foundations of the new Data Management Platform (DMP).
The foundation squad, based in Kuala Lumpur (KL) and in HQ (BE), contributes to the DMP platform evolution. You will design, develop, test and deploy new features and components requested by the delivery teams. The foundation squad also has the responsibility to share best practices and expertise with the business squads.What to expectDesign, develop, test, install and support programs/systems in line with agreed requirements.Quality is part of everything you doDevelop and maintain technical documentation.Design and implement integration and automated testsAssist with the analysis of requirements and the development of recommendations as to the systems approach to follow.Prepare specifications, tests, deliverables, acceptance criteria, time frames, etc. for software tasksReview designs, code, unit test and technical documentation created by other developers.Analyze problems, develop and propose solutions to more senior team members.Prepare and study the technical feasibility and estimates of the proposed systems solutionsWork collaboratively with other team members and provide guidance to more junior team members.Develop and maintain technical documentation, prepare and give presentations to other team members, management and customers.Provide coaching and training to more junior team members.Provide timing/scheduling estimates to team leader and propose corrective actions to timelines when necessaryDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with solutions delivery peers and other IT Delivery partners.Demonstrate customer centricity by working closely together with the internal customer.Organize an efficient handover through high quality documentation and training.\xe2\x80\x8bWhat will make you successfulQualifications:At least 10 + years\' of relevant experience and at least last 2 years working as a Technical LeadProven experience in Data engineering and Software development practices.Technical Skills Requirements:Must have:Education and experience in programming languages and their design patterns (mainly Java, Python, Unix Shell scripting)Understanding of containerization technologies like Openshift and KubernetesExperience with massive object storage services (Amazon S3 storage or equivalent) is a plusSolid understanding of Data Engineering, data hub, data lake and data warehousing conceptsExperience in continuous integration/delivery build environment: GIT, Jenkins, Maven, Coverage and Static/Dynamic Code Analysis tools.Experience with Agile Tools (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Github)Good to have:Apache Data management tools (Spark, Kafka, NiFi, Airflow)Red Hat LinuxElasticsearch/Kibana and Oracle databases.Helm Charts / Infrastructure-as-code / TerraformExperience in handling PKI / TLSProfessional Skills Requirements:LeadershipCreativity and innovationAdaptability and responsiveness to changeTake accountability for delivering resultsStrong communication skills, both written and oralTime management, planning and organizingAbility to work well in both a team and individual environmentQuality orientedEngaged and team oriented * Open communicationFor more info on the role, you may reach to theRecruiter for this role, Apac Senior Talent Acquisition SpecialistHiring Manager for this role, Chapter Lead at SwiftWhat we offerWe give you the freedom to be yourself.
