ourteam is seeking a Data Engineer for an AI-driven industrial technology company specializing in HVAC optimization platforms. The company serves clients in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, and precision manufacturing, helping them monitor, control, and reduce energy usage through real-time data from IoT devices, sensors, and building management systems.

Role Overview

The Data Engineer will build a scalable big data processing platform enabling real-time decision-making and AI-powered automation. Responsibilities include designing systems for large-scale data processing, ensuring high data quality, optimizing resource usage to reduce costs, and supporting cross-functional teams with actionable insights. The role contributes to improving energy efficiency and data visibility via real-time dashboards, advancing smarter industrial HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain scalable big data pipelines handling large volumes of sensor and control data Design and operate real-time data processing systems supporting timely decision-making Integrate Kafka and Spark Streaming for low-latency, event-driven data streaming Implement cloud-based analytics solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) for advanced processing Develop automated data quality checks to ensure high-quality, validated inputs and maintain data integrity Collaborate with AI engineers, IoT engineers, and software teams to support data ingestion, model development, and analytics Optimize resource usage to reduce data processing and storage costs Continuously monitor, test, and tune systems for performance, cost-efficiency, and reliability Implement and maintain metadata management Proven experience in software development using Java and Python. Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure. Ability to work collaboratively in agile teams. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
