Job Summary

Detail-oriented and skilled Data Engineer with experience in Java-based data pipelines and development using Eclipse IDE. Will be responsible for designing and building data ingestion and transformation systems to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives.

Responsibilities & Duties

Design and build scalable and reliable

ETL/ELT pipelines

using Java and big data technologies. Develop and maintain

data ingestion frameworks

and

data transformation logic

. Use

Eclipse IDE

for Java-based development and debugging. Work with large structured and unstructured datasets from a variety of sources. Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Platform Engineers to deliver data solutions. Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance and reliability. Document data processes, schemas, and system architecture. Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the pipeline. Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and performance tuning sessions.

Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Software Engineering roles. Strong

Java programming

skills with experience in

Eclipse IDE

for development. Proficiency with big data tools such as

Apache Spark

,

Hadoop

, or

Flink

. Hands-on experience with

SQL

and databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL). Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Oozie). Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus. Version control using Git and experience with CI/CD workflows.
