Job Description

You will be part of our Road Logistics team, adding your expertise + skills to the delivery of Customer + Operational excellence.

Your Role

To perform Overland\'s EDI declaration, custom clearance and other OGA permit Applications for Customs Checkpoint. This include, attend all customs issues, witness of loading/unloading, coordinate survey & customs examinations as well other Customs Related Issues.

Your Responsibilities

Compliance with Corporate Standards

• Adhere to Company Rules & Guidelines, SOP\xe2\x80\x99s and Code of Conduct.
• To operate within legal framework and ensure all operation processes comply with Customs Rules and Regulations.
• Follow and adhere customer SOP requirements as trained by Supervisor in the department.
• To work as part of a team and share workload in all situations
• Proactive customer interface for all assigned accounts , and follow up to ensure fulfillment of services rendered
• Timely escalation and alert of customer issues
• Achievement of Data Quality and KPI targets as set by the management.
• Any others tasks assigned by the superior.

Customs Clearance

• On time clearance is required for every shipment
• To handle any customs inquiries & to resolve any disputes with customs
• To attend to customs examination
• K8 forms are to be properly disbursed to avoid any hanging form in customs system
• Witness of loading / unloading activities
• Goods are to be checked / inspected properly before loading/unloading took place.
• Any goods found not in good condition has to be escalated to superior & follow with survey

Other

• To handle disputes in tariffs code between customs officer and customer. Runner is to arrange for product re-classification with customs ruling department.
• To attend to customs officer/ customer in good manner as and when needed

Customer Service

• To liaise with Customers directly as required
• To act in a professional manner at all times with customers
• To manage customer complaints in a manner that provides explanations and puts customer at ease
• Take appropriate corrective action and/or notify relevant person and office to prevent a re-occurrence of customer complaints.

QSHE

• To observe all company quality & OHS requirements at all times.
• To be aware of the responsibilities of employee\xe2\x80\x99s in relation to OHS.
• To follow all procedures and reporting requirements in relation to the company OHS policies and working instructions.
• To report incidents and hazards as per the relevant working instructions.

Your Skills and Experiences

• Degree / Diploma in Business Admin, International Business, Transportation & Logistics or it equivalent.
• Familiar with Electronic Data Interchange accd to Customs Rules & Regulations.
• Knowledge of customs, freight forwarding operations laws and regulations.
• Computer Knowledge
• Can work independently as well as team work, Participate in changes / notice of developments in Customs regulations
• Able to work with minimum supervision
• Able to work long hours.
