An exciting Data Governance Lead job has just become available at one of the global leaders in FMCG. Your main responsibility is to build up the data governance framework across Asia offices as the pioneer of the team.

About the Data Governance Lead Role:
You will be taking on responsibility for working with existing global teams on data governance, and facilitate Asia offices in complying with data governance frameworks and continuously assess the effectiveness of implementation and of data governance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enable and coordinate data governance framework in the region
• Continuously assess and improve in the region the effectiveness of data governance initiatives through ongoing monitoring, evaluation, and feedback
• Monitor data quality maturity in the region
• Support the identification, onboarding and training of data governance roles
• Enable the data governance operations model regionally
• Support and facilitate the standardised data governance policies and processes in the region
• Act as an SME for data governance questions
• Align with local data governance leads a chapter approach for steering data governance topics
• Facilitate and monitor adoption of data governance capabilities within the business

To succeed in this Data Governance Lead role, you will need to be a driven person who is wiling to role up your sleeves in implementing data governance frameworks together with the pioneer team in Asia, while aligning towards the global direction of the head office.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in information technology or any equivalent
• Minimum of five years in data governance, good in implementing relevant frameworks such as GDPR, PDPA, DAMA DMBOK, CMMI DMM
• Prior experience in data product and/or China Data Regulations would be an added advantage
• Prior experience in managing data in the FMCG or retail industry would be an added advantage
• Great communication skills to express complex data concepts into business language for stakeholder management
