Data Migration specialist (Telcomunication)

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Assist in designing, planning, and managing the data migration process.
• Manage assigned risks and monitor potential impacts as part of the data migration plan.
• Collaborate with System Implementors (SIs), stakeholders (Finance/SCM/EAM), and the project team to identify, define, collate, document, and communicate the data migration requirements.
• Work independently as a self-starter and within a team environment.
• Collaborate across multiple functional projects to understand data usage and implications for data migration.
• Develop best practices, processes, and standards for effectively carrying out data migration activities.
• Gather technical requirements for data migration needs from stakeholders (Finance/SCM/EAM) or third-party platform (3PP) Points of Contact (PICs).
• Share knowledge with team members and efficiently develop customer solutions.
• Collaborate with SIs to perform source system data analysis to manage source-to-target data mapping.
• Collaborate with SIs to perform migration and testing of static data and transaction data from one core system to another.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor\'s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, or any other related field or discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of technical experience is required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with proficiency in a wide range of architectures and technologies.
• Proficiency with SQL.
• Excellent collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of ERP applications (SAP S/4HANA / Oracle Fusion) is an advantage.
• Experience in the telco industry is an advantage.
• Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
