Role Responsibilities Job Purpose Client data is very critical to the Bank and it various functions for conducting business, meeting regulatory obligations, and supporting the various business processes. Standard Chartered Group and its Subsidiaries require accurate, complete, reliable, and timely data in support of conduct objectives, risk management, regulatory reporting, customer experience, MIS/ business decision making and analytics. A critical part of this role is to ensure data quality input and maintenance across the processes while supporting and driving changes to the bank wide requirements in the client data domain. Strategy To receive, review & execute data analysis deliverables that span across relevant markets & business segments and include extensive datasets from multiple bank systems. To be responsible for the design & timely production of accurate & highly-quality dashboards & MI to key stakeholders and various committees or forums. Business Planning and scoping of profiling activities Provision of support to stakeholders to assist them in understanding the analysis methodology, findings, and implications Identify potential improvement areas within the profiling processes Identify external blockers and propose effective solutions Provide support to external projects that require data profiling activity Ensure alignment of assigned work items and activities to the strategic and tactical direction of the Data team Proactive identification of risks and concerns, including escalation to all relevant stakeholders Adherence to laws and regulations, internal risk and compliance policies and the Group Code of Conduct Completion of all mandatory risk and compliance training including e-learning within stated timeframes Safeguard all data by ensuring strict adherence to information communication guidelines polices as well as data storage/archival procedures Ensure quality processing and adherence to all key controls and checks. Support the process of Extraction, Transformation and Load as systems are migrated from legacy to target technologies. Support data migration activities over dress rehearsals and cut over weekend(s) as required Monitor and review Data Quality Analyst outputs to ensure consistency and quality Support definition of data profiling scope and priority for data profiling team to execute Develop required project artefacts to deliver CLDM DQ related initiatives Work cohesively with: COLT Data Stream Lead to deliver the Data required to deliver future operating model. Business Architecture team for requirements and design guidance. Identify and escalate key workstream risks, issues and dependencies to the Lead for ongoing management. Processes Design, produce & analyse management information & periodic basis through: Identifying the key metrics suitable for reporting on various subjects ranging from data management, data quality, progress of various data management, data quality, progress of various data investigation & remediation activities etc. Define appropriate data sourcing, frequency, methodology for calculation & presentation. Analyse & interpret metrics & highlight key trends & insight for management attention Proactive identification & reporting of data issuers & risks Provide inputs as a result of observations made for modification required regarding the data management, quality and reporting. Maintenance of book of work & prioritisation for delivery. Continuously identify opportunities to implement automated solutions for analysis & reporting. Adherence to laws & regulation, internal risk & compliance policies & the Group Code of Conduct. Completion of all mandatory risk & compliance training including eLearning within stated timeframe. Safeguard all data by ensuring strict adherence to information communication guidelines policies as well as data storage procedures Risk Management Proactive identification of risks and concerns, including escalation to all relevant stakeholders Adherence to laws and regulations, internal risk and compliance policies and the Group Code of Conduct Completion of all mandatory risk and compliance training including e-learning within stated timeframes Safeguard all data by ensuring strict adherence to information communication guidelines polices as well as data storage/archival procedures Ensure quality processing and adherence to all key controls and checks. Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters. Other Responsibilities Manage JIRA requests relevant to data upload Preparation of weekly and monthly stats. Motivate the team by appreciating any good work done by the team members instantaneously and also by nominating for GEM Awards if really deserved and maximize Productivity of the team. Ensure staff performance is monitored on a continuous basis and feedback provided at regular intervals. Ensure that Knowledge on Systems and Procedures is updated by keeping track of periodical circulars and other instructions issued. Ensure timely escalation to Line Management of any exception noticed related to work and environment. Uphold the Values of the Group and Company at all times. Ensure proper training is given to team members whenever required. Ensure backup staff is identified and trained Participate & encourage participation in departmental quizzes, and Group / Company-wide CSR Initiatives. Ensure strict compliance to Group Code of Conduct always. Ensure proper maintenance of workstations and the work environment. Ensure adherence of clean desk policy. Ensure timely completion of all E learning courses. Our Ideal Candidate Background & experience in Re-processing of profiles to meet a policy or procedural uplift Operational process execution Handling time critical projects which involve high level of manual work Good understanding in data analytics Capable in using ETL tools such as Alteryx, Tableau Demonstrated understanding of data quality principles Degree qualified, with experience in executing data profiling projects Core Skills Ability to work effectively as a self-starter with minimal supervision and ensure deadlines are met Focussed, able to take ownership of tasks and results-oriented Ability to deliver with strict accuracy levels Ability to work effectively as part of a team and good organisation skills Demonstrable decision-making skills, logical approach to problem solving Ability to create & maintain documentation to a high standard Ability to understand policy, standards and procedural requirements and translate to operation / project-based requirements Good understanding of the risks related to poor data.
