Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical

Data Quality Engineer to join our client data team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across multiple systems and sources. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to define data quality standards, implement validation rules, and monitor data pipelines for quality issues.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabiliti

*Design, implement, and maintain data quality frameworks and validation tools.

Develop and execute automated data quality tests, including completeness, consistency, accuracy, and timeliness checks.
Monitor ETL/ELT pipelines and identify data quality issues and anomalies.
Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to define and enforce data quality standards and SLAs.
Build dashboards and reports that provide visibility into data quality metrics and KPIs.
Perform root cause analysis on data issues and recommend long-term solutions.
Document data quality rules, procedures, and data dictionaries.
Assist in data governance efforts including data profiling, metadata management, and data lineage tracking.

Skills:

Proficiency with SQL for data profiling and quality analysis.

Experience with data quality tools (e.g., Great Expectations, Talend, Informatica, dbt tests).

Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL tools (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Airflow, Fivetran).

Strong understanding of data governance, data lineage, and data stewardship concepts.

Experience with Python or another scripting language is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Years of Relevant Experience:

3+ years of experience in data quality, data engineering, or related field.

Education Qualification(s):

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.

Pay: Up to RM10,000.00 per month
