Duties and Responsibilities Data Science \xe2\x80\xa2 Apply the principles of machine learning and implement algorithms and statistical methods to enable a computer to automatically learn from data - in particular diagnose immediate issues or predict impending issues from time-series data. Once operational, monitor AI automations to confirm processes are under control (minimal false positives or missed events). Developer \xe2\x80\xa2 Contribute to and/or maintain open-source Python packages. \xe2\x80\xa2 Contribute to and/or maintain Python web applications. Django experience a benefit. \xe2\x80\xa2 Contribute to and/or maintain reporting infrastructure for compilation of reports from information stored across various sources. python-docx experience a benefit. \xe2\x80\xa2 Distribute, and support data analysis tooling in Python. Pandas, scipy, numpy \xe2\x80\xa2 Implement continuous integration testing for Python projects. Travis CI. \xe2\x80\xa2 Build interfaces to various data sources such as databases and external system REST APIs. \xe2\x80\xa2 Build interactive data visualization tools. Matplotlib, seaborn, plotly experience a benefit. Key Competencies and Related Experience: \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong applied statistics data mining and model building techniques such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, time-series, linear modeling and regression, random forest, text mining, network analysis, etc. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong understanding of data curation methods such as compiling, cleaning labeled datasets and other automating data cleaning techniques \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks. \xe2\x80\xa2 Experience with open-source data science toolkits such as tensorflow, Azure ML, Theano, Keras, Scikit Learn (with sktime), Apache. Excellence in python based solutions is highly desirable \xe2\x80\xa2 Proficiency in using query languages and distributed data/computing tools such as SQL, SQLalchemy, NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Microsoft SQL Server, and Azure Cosmos DB \xe2\x80\xa2 Data storytelling: Experience with data visualization tools and ability to communicate actionable insights using data for technical and non -technical audience.
