Roles and Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring successful end to end delivery of data science initiatives. These initiatives range from customer retention, lead generation, cross selling and fraud detection.
Develop real world methodologies for experimentation and causal inference in the digital space.
Resolve business problems using advanced statistical analyses and machine learning techniques.
Design, execute experiments and discover new insights to develop an understanding of consumer behaviour based on experiment outcomes.
Develop machine learning pipelines to streamline and automate deployment of models.
Track and improve performance of data science solutions developed.
Work with engineers to improve the data collection process.
Partner with multiple business functions to identify & prioritize opportunities where data science can add value; and provide analytics solutioning / minimum-viable-product that are relevant to business needs in the areas of customer-relationship-management / propensity based targeting, data / next-best-product-recommendation / cross selling / up selling / customer-retention
Research and experiment with state-of-the-art machine learning techniques and tools
Implement and manage a high standard of documentation.

Minimum Job Requirements

Strong mathematical, statistical or actuarial background
Practical experience in data science, analytics, business consulting, computing or similar data-driven roles
Extensive experience in the complete modelling lifecycle, from ideation to deployment and continual monitoring and maintenance
Proficient in Python, R, Hadoop & Teradata or other statistical and scientific packages
Preferably has experience in machine learning engineering
Preferably familiar with data visualization techniques using one or more packages such PowerBI
Results oriented. Able to cut to the core of a problem, identify what needs to be done and work with the teams to get products launched
A talent for constructive communication of ideas, issues and solutions in an agile environment
Extremely motivated to continue learning and growing
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong business acumen, project and people management skills
Ability to build relationships in an international environment with a diverse group of internal and external stakeholders at different levels of the organization
