About the Team:

In this role, you will be part of an evolving data team who are the gatekeepers and curators of the BIG data collected into the Data Warehouse/Data Lake from all aspects of our e-commerce business and supports data-driven decision-making for various business areas with in Zalora.

About the Role:

You will mainly support the finance business department for their month-end closing activities and support other internal projects on financial data reporting and engineering. The data team at Zalora covers all aspects of data solution from end-to-end, including data engineering, analytics and data science.

What you will do:

• Work closely with SAP team on bi-monthly basis, ensuring timely integration of all SAP data interfaces for both retail and marketplace business segments.
• Build new data interfaces and enhance existing ones to support the evolving business data needs for financial reporting.
• Automate existing data workflow and processes to improve overall efficiency and data integrity around month-end data.
• Independently evaluate new business requirements and carry out end--to-end development cycle of data engineering and reporting.
• Collaborate closely with finance team on increasing visibility of existing process gaps and data issues.
• Provide data support on other projects related to data analytics and daily reporting of business performance.

Who you are:

• 5+ years of relevant work experience in e-commerce and data engineering field.
• Prior experience on managing SAP projects will be a BIG plus.
• Background in data engineering around building data warehouse and reporting solutions.
• Solid working knowledge of relational databases, scripting in Python/SQL and different cloud services in GCP/AWS.
• Ability to independently manage end--to-end project deployment lifecycle, using proper CI/CD tools including GIT, Jira, Airflow in an agile work environment.
• A solid team player willing to learn new things and take full ownership of assigned deliverables.
• Preferable to have prior experience in different BI reporting tools such as Tableau, data studio.
