Duties And Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business challenges and opportunities where data science can add value. Develop and apply statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics techniques to analyse complex datasets and derive actionable insights. Clean, preprocess, and integrate large and diverse datasets from various sources, ensuring data quality and integrity. Design and implement data pipelines, data lakes, or data warehouses to enable efficient data management and analysis. Utilize advanced analytics and visualization tools to present findings, communicate insights, and support data-driven decision-making processes. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and oil and gas domains. Collaborate with stakeholders to define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of digital transformation initiatives. Maintain awareness of ethical considerations, data privacy, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Requirements And Qualifications Bachelor\'s or master\'s degree in data science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. 5 years of industry experience, preferably within the upstream oil and gas sector. 3 years experience as a Data Scientist Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, with experience in statistical modelling, machine learning, and data visualization. Have strong knowledge with data visualization so????ware like Tableau and Power BI Knowledge of the upstream oil and gas industry, including familiarity with data sources, processes, and challenges. Experience with data preprocessing, data integration, and working with large datasets. Generate innovative ideas, establish new research directions, shape and support the execution of technical projects. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into data-driven solutions. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Knowledge of ethical considerations, data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance in data science. Experience with cloud platforms, data engineering, or so????ware development is a plus.
