We are seeking a highly skilled Data Scientist to join our team. The position of this function is to be based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia and working together as part of the Global Competence Center of eCommerce, Fleet Solutions & Data Science.

In this exciting job you work on the following tasks:

• Be integral part of projects in an area of specialization like Sales, Marketing or Supply Chain Management.
• Work with domain experts to understand their problems and solve them with data.
• Understand the Continental Tires data landscape with its diverse applications and architectures.
• Be a partner in connecting the necessary experts from business and IT to solve problems.
• Get involved into different tasks at once and involve yourself with our team to get the support you need.
• Support in shaping the processes and organization to leverage the business value Data Science can bring to our enterprise.

Run exploratory analysis, create data insights and conclusions, and develop predictive models programmatically.

Qualifications

• Degree/ Master\'s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Econometrics or similar studies.
• Minimum 3-5 years of IT or Industry working experience.
• Domain knowledge and industry experience in Supply Chain Management, Sales or Marketing.
• Profound knowledge of methods from Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, and Mathematical Optimization.
• Knowledge on Time Series Forecasting and Customer Analytics.
• Profound expertise in developing Data Science use cases with a widespread programming language (e.g., Python, R, SAS, Scala or similar).
• Experience in orchestration and industrialization of data science projects, including the knowledge of necessary cloud stacks (e.g., Kubernetes, AWS, Jenkins, Airflow)
• Experience with database systems and Data extraction from diverse sources, including good knowledge of SQL.
• Experience working with tabular data.
• Experience in data visualization, and data storytelling.
• Good knowledge of Version Control with Git and CLI.
• Define and communicate model performance metrics to Business Partners, be able to translate model results into a Business Language, including the limitations of the models.
• Experience as a leading data scientist, guiding junior team members and external partners.
• Reliable team player with structured self-organized workstyle.
• Experience in both agile as well as traditional project management.
• Very good communication skills.
• Experience in working in a multinational company is a plus.
• Good English language skills (written and spoken).
