We're seeking a talented Database Administrator to join our Malaysia team and play a key role in maintaining, optimizing, and securing database systems across multiple business segments. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performing data infrastructure and support our journey toward modern solutions. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will directly impact system stability and overall performance.
Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of multiple database stacks, including architecture design, optimization, ongoing improvements, and in-depth troubleshooting.
  • Perform fault diagnosis and maintain high availability of production systems.
  • Ensure high availability for all owned systems through proactive monitoring and planning.
  • Deliver maintenance, upgrades, and changes with minimal impact to business and customer operations.
  • Develop and maintain low-level solution designs that meet performance, security, and scalability standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in systems engineering practices.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customers, ensuring needs are understood and met.
  • Promote and adhere to health and safety practices, report incidents, and encourage a culture of safety.
Skills, Experience & Qualification
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related program.
  • At least 3-5 years of enterprise-level database management experience.
  • Strong experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, SQL Server, and Oracle databases.
  • Expertise in database administration, including security, backup, recovery, and performance monitoring.
  • High attention to detail and experience with large-scale, complex applications.
  • Strong communication skills across various levels, from executives to technical teams.
  • Capable of handling multiple priorities in fast-paced, geographically distributed environments.
  • Self-motivated, continuously improving technical skills, and a team player.
