Description: The System manager Database is to support the database-services to include incident management, change management and support in problem management (in accordance with ITIL) for Oracle (including Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) and various database-systems (e.g. MySQL, Postgres, Elasticsearch). The database landscape consists of more than 500 instances and includes standard but also complex setups fitting the customer needs for scalability and availability. Responsibilities: \xe2\x80\xa2 Day to day operations, monitoring and maintenance task, such as: o User Administration o Proactive Monitoring o Backup Execution & Monitoring o Capacity & Performance Monitoring & Fine-tuning o Operations Reporting in accordance to ITIL best practices & systems (HP Service Manager) \xe2\x80\xa2 Manage various database high availability setup, such as database replication, and clustering \xe2\x80\xa2 Advance administrative and troubleshooting as a Database Administrator (working closely with remote teams) \xe2\x80\xa2 Implement, migrate and upgrade database in accordance to architecture design specifications and standards Requirements: \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor or Master Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent. \xe2\x80\xa2 ITIL Foundation Certification \xe2\x80\xa2 Minimum of 7 years professional experience in the database administration \xe2\x80\xa2 Must have strong knowledge and working experience in Oracle Databases and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure \xe2\x80\xa2 Good knowledge and working experience in open-source technologies, such as, MySQL, Postgres, Elasticseach, Cassandra, mongoDB \xe2\x80\xa2 Advanced user skills in creating and analyzing of SQL statements and DB behavior \xe2\x80\xa2 Advanced user skills in database high availability features such as, Galera Cluster \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge and working experience in SUSE Linux Enterprise Server and RedHat \xe2\x80\xa2 Should have basic knowledge on TCP/IP network, such as packet analysis and routing \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge and working experience in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure will be added advantage \xe2\x80\xa2 Understanding of database security features/ products will be added advantage \xe2\x80\xa2 Good analytical, interpersonal and English communication (verbal and written) skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 This job demand flexibility and willingness to work in dynamic environment with customer driven project. The candidates are expected to communicate with clients and colleagues in EU regularly. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to work under tight deadlines. Independent, self-discipline, self-organize, and able to learn and work under minimum supervision.
